Effective Date: July 11, 2026
Lynqed respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the Lynqed mobile app stores, what may leave your device, and your choices. We write in plain language because you should not need a law degree to understand your own data.
Who operates Lynqed
Lynqed ("we," "us") operates the Lynqed relationship intelligence app and the lynqed.app website. Questions about this policy can be sent to the contact addresses at the end of this document.
Closed Beta status
Lynqed is currently in Closed Beta (v0.9.x). Features, disclosures, and data practices may change as we improve the app. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date.
Information stored on your device
Most information you enter in Lynqed is stored locally on your device. This can include:
- Your profile (name, optional email, pronouns, birthday, optional photo)
- Relationship profiles (names, nicknames, relationship types, birthdays, anniversaries, and other important dates)
- Things to Remember (notes, preferences, allergy or medical notes you enter, gift ideas, goals, favorites, places, and similar entries)
- Shared memories, Journey Together plans, check-ins, and connection history
- App preferences (such as notification and reminder settings)
- Legal acceptance records (which policy versions you accepted and when)
You choose what to save. Lynqed does not routinely upload this relationship data or profile photos to Lynqed servers. Lynqed does not currently access your contacts, calendar, location, camera, or microphone.
Local storage and uninstall
Closed Beta data is stored in your device’s app sandbox using local storage (AsyncStorage) and app files. A cloud account is not required, and Lynqed does not currently offer cloud synchronization.
Local app data is generally removed when you uninstall Lynqed. On some Android devices, operating-system or device backup behavior may retain app data outside Lynqed’s control. We do not guarantee that uninstallation removes every copy on every device configuration.
Manual backup export
You may export a backup manually from More → Backup & Restore. Exported backups are plaintext JSON files. They may contain sensitive relationship information (including notes or medical details you entered) and are not encrypted by Lynqed.
- Backups leave your device only when you choose to export or share them.
- After you save or share a backup outside the app, you are responsible for who can access it.
- Profile photo image files are not currently included in backup exports (photo references may appear as local file paths).
Permissions
Lynqed may request device permissions only when needed for a feature you use:
- Photo library — optional; used only when you choose a profile photo
- Notifications — optional; used for local reminders you enable on your device
We explain each permission in the app before it is requested. You can decline and continue using Lynqed for most features.
Notifications
Lynqed schedules reminders locally on your device. Lynqed does not currently register or transmit Expo push tokens or other remote push identifiers for mobile notifications.
What Lynqed does not currently use
In the Closed Beta mobile app, Lynqed does not currently include:
- Mobile advertising or ad identifiers
- In-app analytics or usage tracking SDKs
- Remote crash reporting services
- User accounts, sign-in, or cloud synchronization
Send Feedback
If you use More → Send Feedback, information is transmitted only when you submit the form. Submissions are sent over HTTPS to https://lynqed.app/api/feedback and forwarded to a Google Apps Script workflow so we can review beta feedback.
We collect feedback to understand bugs, ideas, and what is working during Closed Beta — to respond when you ask for follow-up, diagnose issues, and maintain beta records.
Each submission may include the following fields from the form and app configuration:
- Name (required)
- Email (required)
- Feedback type (for example, Bug Report or Feature Idea)
- App area (optional)
- Severity (optional)
- Platform label derived from your device at submit time (for example, Android Phone or iPhone)
- App version (from the app configuration at submit time)
- Build number (native build identifier from the app configuration at submit time, when available)
- Follow-up preference (Yes or No)
- Your written feedback message
- A hidden anti-spam field (website) that is not filled in by users
Feedback submissions do not automatically include relationship notes, profile photos, screenshots, file attachments, device logs, or a device serial number. Only information you enter in the feedback form (plus the app version, build, and platform labels described above) is sent.
If you provide an email, it may also be saved in your local My Profile so follow-up is easier on future submissions.
Service providers
Google may process submitted feedback as a service provider when our website API forwards it to Google Apps Script. Lynqed does not use Google Apps Script for routine storage of your relationship data.
Retention
Relationship data on your device remains until you edit or delete it, clear local data in the app (where available), or uninstall the app, subject to device backup behavior described above.
Submitted feedback is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to review, respond to, diagnose issues related to, and maintain Closed Beta records. We do not publish a fixed automatic deletion schedule in the app today.
External links and support
Support links in the app may open an external browser or your device’s email application (for example, when you tap a mailto link). Those apps are governed by their own providers, not Lynqed.
Data security
We design Lynqed with privacy in mind. Local data relies on your device’s operating-system sandbox. Feedback is sent over HTTPS. We do not sell your relationship information, and Lynqed does not currently use mobile advertising.
No storage method is perfectly secure. You are responsible for protecting exported backup files and your device access.
Future cloud features
Planned features such as optional Google Drive backup and Google Calendar sync are not yet available in the Closed Beta app. When they ship, they will be optional, clearly explained, and covered by an updated policy before launch.
Website analytics (lynqed.app only)
The Lynqed marketing website at lynqed.app may use privacy-conscious analytics (Google Analytics 4) to understand traffic and Android beta application interest. This applies to the public website only — not the Lynqed mobile app.
- What we may collect on the website: page views, navigation between pages, clicks on Android beta application buttons, and outbound clicks to our Lynqed Studio application form
- What we do not collect via website analytics: relationship notes, birthdays, shared memories, mobile app data, or any information you enter inside the Lynqed app
- The mobile app does not include this website analytics code
You can limit website tracking with browser privacy settings, ad blockers, or Google’s analytics opt-out tools. Analytics runs only when our team enables it in production hosting configuration.
Children’s privacy
Lynqed is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through Lynqed, contact us and we will help address it.
Your choices and requests
You can view, edit, and delete most relationship data within the app. To ask about privacy practices, request access to information we hold about you, or ask us to delete feedback you submitted, email us at the addresses below. We will respond as reasonably practicable.
- Privacy and data requests: privacy@lynqed.app
- Feedback access or deletion requests: support@lynqed.app
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Lynqed grows. Material changes will be reflected in the app with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised policy.
